Visually Stunning Movies : The Last Unicorn (1982)

There has never been a time without unicorns. We live forever! We are as old as the sky, old as the moon! We can be hunted, trapped; we can even be killed if we leave our forests, but we do not vanish. Am I truly the last?

On the nth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…

  • 10 points if you can sing this at top speed.
  • 100 points if you can sing it coherently after some Christmas cheer in a punch bowl.

A long overdue finish of the 12 Days of Aperture series, for fuchsiamae (incomplete series seen here and here). Just goes to show that if you expect a present from me it will always always be late. Always. Like five years later.

But it was an awesome project and I’m glad I did it in the end. Merry Christmas, Portal fandom!

Reblogging this from last year. :)

you know that scene of emperor’s new groove with kronk with the angel and demon on his shoulder? yeah i think that is how i would describe aziraphale and crowley’s relationship

You’ll laugh, there’s a fanart of that somewhere.

[The] essentially Athenian view of the Minotaur as the antagonist of Theseus reflects the literary sources, which are biased in favour of Athenian perspectives. The Etruscans… offered an alternative Etruscan view of the Minotaur, never seen in Greek arts: on an Etruscan red-figure wine-cup of the early-to-mid fourth century, Pasiphaë tenderly cradles an infant Minotaur on her knee.

Proud monster mama. I kinda like this version more. I mean when you get hexed by a god to fall in lust with bulls and then you know your husband is going to put your hybrid offspring into a really big maze where it’s destined to get stabbed by some Athenian douchebro, you’d really try to get in some precious moments while you could.
Though for a “tender cradle” she does kinda look like she’s throwing her hands up and scowling all “how the hell am I supposed to nurse this baby I will get a horn through the boob”.

I fucking love the Etruscans and their clever, sex and death obsessed, fascinatingly whackadoo culture. LOVE THEM :D

THERE I FINISHED THIS THING, ENJOY 8)

Big hugs and smooches to baysalt for helping out with colouring a bunch of scenes!  Also to everyone who stopped by the livestreams I did throughout working on this, you guys are the best. *u*

I said I would reblog this again when the notes have died down a little and give a proper review for the incredibly beautiful job here!  I can’t do justice to the amount of work put in but there are a ton of things I want to point out anyway.
