Three New Ideas

I was reading this page from Serenity Rose- Break Your Stupid Heart just now and it struck me that this is just as good an exercise for us creative sort of types as it is for witches.
- Go to Wikipedia
- Click on ‘Random Article’
- Do this three time
- Over the course of the week, or day, or however long you want to spend on this, research and combine and work your three ‘ideas’ into one ‘thing.’ Picture, story, song, object, ectoplasmic life-form, doesn’t matter what.
Two rules:
- Set yourself a limited amount of time (I’m going to try a week.) These are new ideas, not things to get frustrated or hung up on.
- Enjoy it. If the product takes you a certain way, away from the original articles, let it, It’s all good, as long as you’re exploring new things.
That’s about it. If anyone else does this, it’d be awesome if you wanted to show off your creations under the #three new ideas tag.

The Supplicant
so waffles challenged me to create a poem using the same technique she used for this work of beauty… and this is what happened. I told you I wasn’t a writer. ;-)
fleeting angels collide in puddles of madness
crystaline tears abscond with kisses in the dying light

so the other day I hung out with waffles in town
we were wearing our identical purple jumpers
and our aperture science test subject bracelets (she is orange, I am blue)
and ate the same delicious sweet potato chips
and the whole time I was like
we weren’t even doing anything special but it was awesome because we are friends <3
next week we’re gonna do karaoke IT’S GONNA BE WICKED awww yis :D

Listed Wentworth on my Etsy! Up and nicely photographed and shiny.
YAY FOR GETTING THINGS DONE.
Wentworth is a curious fellow. Mostly, he’s curious about what he IS. Bear? Koala? Alien? Nobody knows. Some things are certain, however- he’s friendly, huggable, unique, and looking for a good home. Also, on a good day, his frankly massive ears can pick up the Home Shopping Channel.*
Wentworth is a one-of-a-kind handmade artist’s bear. He stands 15” (38cm) from head to toe, and sits at 12” (30cm).
Wentworth is lovingly made out of super-soft luxury faux fur, a beautiful chocolate-based 2cm pile with amazing hints of ash and cherry at the tips. His arms and legs are jointed, and his paws are made from fun striped jersey fabric.

Eeee isn’t Wentworth a cutie? I hugged this adorable bundle of fluff this morning and can you he really is just as sweet and cuddly as you imagine. And he moves too! :D

I am writing! Sort of. Mostly under duress (aka when Waffles pokes me ;-). But words are being written, which is more than has happened in years, so I’m still feeling pretty chuffed about things. I have about a thousand words of utter nonsense down, which in NaNo terms means I’m about 20,000 words behind schedule but WHATEVER I am not a writer and this is just supposed to make me Do Something for a change.
My story is based The Juniper Tree, a rather obscure Grimm’s faerie tale that I love, because there just isn’t enough cannibalism, infanticide and murder in kids books nowadays, right? XD That’s the idea, anyway - what I’ve written so far doesn’t really have much to do with that, but oh well! :)
I’ve been to two NaNo meetups so far, and I’m not entirely sure if the events themselves are helping, but having Waffles glare at me every time I put down my pen certainly is. ;-)

Welp. I finally did it.
I SAVED SCIENCE :D
I am so full of feelings right now, I never thought I’d actually be able to complete the game, because my dyspraxia destroys all hand-eye coordination and puts up a wall of cognitive dissonance between what I want to do and what I actually do. But I did it. I never really wanted it to end…but I finished this incredible game that is so much more than just a game at last. I’M SO HAPPY. *sobs into her pillow*
And really? It’s all thanks to Waffles, the most patient, helpful, unflappable (mostly ;-) and kind gaming partner anyone could ever ask for. Everyone should give her ice cream and pie for putting up with my flailing, squealing, joy-induced madness. Hee. :)
Also now I have an excuse to post the amaaaaaazing birthday card she gave me because we are Ro-bros. <3

Waffles is THE BEST and I had the most amazing night out with her.
I can’t remember the last time I’ve had this much fun, and laughed so much. There was sushi, and silliness, and animated goodness, and HUGS so many glorious hugs and I’m just so happy I could cry. I even managed to contain my Blue Sky fangirling to a minimum, although of course it had to be mentioned a little bit - I’m only human, after all ;-)
We’re going to see Paranorman next month too. Eeeehehee :3
